Session 1: Phonological Awareness

Join us for an enlightening workshop designed to empower parents of kindergarten to 2nd-grade students with the essential insights into the science of reading. In this interactive session, we will delve into the foundational aspects of how young minds learn to read, exploring the intricate cognitive processes that underlie this crucial skill development. Discover proven strategies and techniques that parents can seamlessly integrate into their child's daily routines to foster a love for reading and ensure steady progress. From phonemic awareness to comprehension strategies, this workshop will equip parents with the tools they need to create a supportive and enriching reading environment at home. Together, let's embark on a journey to unlock the magic of reading and set our children on a path to lifelong learning success.

This is part one of a five-part workshop series intended for caregivers of kindergarten to 2nd grade students. There will be an activity available for any children attending with their care givers.
