The artist Jean-Michel Basquiat was born in 1960 and grew up in Brooklyn, New York. His father was from Haiti and his mother's family was from Puerto Rico. He loved art and used it to express himself. We will look at his unique style, a mix of collage, spray paint and regular painting and use that to consider how we can express ourselves by making collages.
