Be prepared for a scare! This meeting is all about the history of horror, from early Romantic literature to your favorite classic horror movies across continents. Why do we like being scared? Let's talk. Content warning: horror includes sensitive subjects/images, and the Salon will refrain from gory/disturbing content. However, everyone has different tolerance levels of psychological material, so please be advised that themes such as loss and mental illness will be covered. We respect all attendees at every Salon meeting and uphold the integrity of all topics; this is a circle welcoming everyone's perspectives and beliefs. Please reach out in advance if you have any questions. :)
Calling all creatives and the curious! Introducing The Salisbury Salon-- an open literary, humanities, and arts group. A modern take on the salons of the Enlightenment period, The Salisbury Salon aims to be a welcoming space for local creators and thinkers to share ideas and personal projects (completed or works-in-progress). All meetings will have a topic/theme facilitating discussions. The Salisbury Salon will meet on the first Tuesdays and fourth Saturdays of each month, and light refreshments will be served. Attendees are encouraged to bring personal creative projects. :)
