Wake up with a coffee, it's time to talk dreams. We'll be learning about dream symbolism and interpretation and the Surrealist movement in art and literature, its ties to wars and global conflicts of the early-mid 20th century, and the revival of Surrealism in modern films/books/television. Additionally, we'll be analyzing the role of dreams and the subconscious in the creation of Surrealist art.
Calling all creatives and the curious! Introducing The Salisbury Salon-- an open literary, humanities, and arts group. A modern take on the salons of the Enlightenment period, The Salisbury Salon aims to be a welcoming space for local creators and thinkers to share ideas and personal projects (completed or works-in-progress). All meetings will have a topic/theme facilitating discussions. The Salisbury Salon will meet on the first Tuesdays and fourth Saturdays of each month, and light refreshments will be served. Attendees are encouraged to bring personal creative projects. :)
